Pear-Cardamom Muffins

These muffins with pears and cardamom are gorgeous and simple at the same time. Although the butter and sugar have been creamed, the batter still comes together in about six minutes even with this additional step. Buttermilk is used to keep the crumb moist while also balancing out the earthy flavors. In order to counterbalance the cardamom’s intensity, we also add a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. A cup of tea and these moist, fruity, and mildly spiced muffins are the perfect combination.
