Meliá Hotels opens Innside Liverpool

Meliá Hotels International has confirmed the opening of Innside Liverpool, marking its eighth hotel in the UK.

The 207-room hotel brings together a destination restaurant, panoramic sky bar, conference and event spaces, state-of-the-art fitness gym, and upscale suites.

Located on Old Hall Street in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district, Melia has repurposed the former Echo and Daily Post building following over three years of “extensive redevelopment”.

Parts of the pre-existing site have also been preserved reflecting Meliá’s “commitment to sustainable practices”.

The hotel added its new destination restaurant, Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street, will bring an “extensive menu” of classic Italian dishes and drinks in a “chic and contemporary” setting.

For business travellers, the hotel offers seven adaptable meeting rooms including the Big Idea Space alongside other rooms such as The News Room, The Printing Press and The Post Room; a nod to the building’s history.

The dedicated events floor has capacity for over 340 people and also a separate catering breakout “ideal” for businesses looking to host large scale gatherings.

Melia added that Innside Liverpool is designed to attract both short and long stay bookings, with each of the rooms designed to adapt to the “dynamic lifestyles of its guests”.
